North Duplin dropped their record down to 9-7 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-2 to the South Lenoir Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-3 loss back in March.

Noah Price made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for South Lenoir, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

On South Lenoir's side, the team relied heavily on Matthew Rhodes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Rhodes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Howard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

North Duplin has already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against North Lenoir on the 21st. As for South Lenoir, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-11 win against C.B. Aycock on the 21st.
