Volleyball Recap: Durfee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Middleborough on Tuesday, Durfee came back down to earth. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Taunton Tigers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-13.

Loss or not, Durfee got some senior leadership from Sarah Raposa and Alexandria Pagan. Raposa had 12 digs and one assist, while Pagan had 11 digs and one assist.

Durfee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Taunton, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Durfee has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Braintree on the 17th. As for Taunton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sharon on the 17th.
