Soccer Game Preview: Scott vs. Gibbs

Scott is 0-3 against Gibbs since October of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Highlanders will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Scott fell victim to Cumberland Gap and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. That's two games in a row now that Scott have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in August, Gibbs was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and William Blount finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2. With that draw, Gibbs' record moves to 5-1-2.

Scott might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Gibbs in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
