Branchville had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Charleston Math & Science Riptide. That's more bragging rights for the Yellow Jackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Branchville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.

Branchville's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Charleston Math & Science, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Branchville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Military Magnet Academy on the 23rd. As for Charleston Math & Science, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baptist Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
