Basketball Game Preview: Excel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Legacy Academy Warriors

The Excel Christian Academy Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Legacy Academy Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Excel Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home back in November, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They slipped by Legacy Academy 69-68.

Despite the defeat, Legacy Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Manolo Vazquez went 8 of 18 on his way to 28 points. That was a full 41.2% of Legacy Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Bartek, who put up ten points and eight rebounds.

Legacy Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. As for Excel Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
