Basketball Recap: Hanover Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Hanover extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Braylon Meyn. The Hanover Wildcats managed a 50-46 win over the Blue Valley Rams on Thursday thanks in part to Meyn, who went 10 for 19 en route to 27 points and six rebounds. His morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Kadrick Cohorst was another key player, putting up four points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Hanover pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Blue Valley, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Diller-Odell at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Blue Valley also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Wakefield on January 28th. Blue Valley is facing Wakefield at the right time seeing as Wakefield is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
