Baseball Recap: Allegany-Limestone Comes Up Short

Allegany-Limestone fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Dunkirk on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 7-6. The Gators have struggled against the Marauders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Allegany-Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Dunkirk, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Allegany-Limestone didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-0 defeat against Wellsville on the 8th. Hopefully Dunkirk paid attention to the Gators' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
