Baseball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Belmont challenged Red Bay on Saturday. The Belmont Cardinals lost 12-3 to the Red Bay Tigers. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Red Bay, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belmont will welcome Hickory Flat at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Red Bay, they will host Colbert County at 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
