Basketball Game Preview: Hope Academy Trojan Tigers vs. Four Corners Coyotes

Hope Academy is 4-0 against Four Corners since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Hope Academy Trojan Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Four Corners Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. Hope Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.7 points per game this season.

Hope Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Southland Christian by a score of 85-78. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trojan Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the FLAMES are ranked 43rd).

Hope Academy found their leader in sophomore Dwayne Foreman III, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 34 points and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foreman III has scored at least a third of Hope Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Rapael, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Four Corners was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 57-48 to Melbourne Central Catholic.

Defeat or not, Four Corners got some senior leadership from Samir Dudley and Keshav Harpal. Dudley posted 16 points, while Harpal had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Minor, who put up six points.

Four Corners' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hope Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Everything came up roses for Hope Academy against Four Corners in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 100-38 win. In that contest, Hope Academy amassed a halftime lead of 54-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
