Basketball Recap: Lake Shore Comes Up Short

Lake Shore lost against Port Huron back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lake Shore Shorians took a hard 70-52 fall against the Port Huron Red Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Shorians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 59th).

Lake Shore's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Port Huron, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Shore will face off against Royal Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal Oak will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Lake Shore surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Huron, they will challenge Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
