Softball Recap: Jordan Has No Trouble Against Durham Academy

On Tuesday, the Jordan Falcons made easy work of the Durham Academy Cavaliers and carried off a 17-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Specht, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sidney Sharp, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durham Academy only posted an OBP of .308.

Jordan now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Vance Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durham Academy, they will welcome Durham School of the Arts at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Durham Academy is coming into the game on a 15-game losing streak dating back to last season.
