            Baseball Preview: Arnold Marlins vs. Lincoln Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            The Arnold Marlins are taking a road trip to  challenge the Lincoln Trojans  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after  three-games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Arnold was able to grind out a solid  victory over Mosley, taking the game  8-5.
Arnold let  Mack Jones and  Braxton Greve loose on the outfield. Jones  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI, while  Greve  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Greve a new career-high in  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mason Laymon, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
 Arnold  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mosley only posted  an  OBP of  .323.
 Meanwhile, Lincoln sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  win over St. Johns Country Day  on Monday.
 Lincoln's victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs over those games. As for Arnold, their record is now 3-0.
 Arnold took their  win against Lincoln  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arnold since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
