Basketball Game Preview: Washington Jaguars vs. Wicomico Indians

Washington hasn't had much luck against Wicomico recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Washington Jaguars will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Wicomico Indians at 6:00 p.m.

Washington is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Decatur on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Washington took a blow against Decatur, falling 84-40. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-20.

Despite the defeat, Washington had strong showings from Michael White, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points, and Elijah Thomas, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave White a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Develle Morgan, who put up six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wicomico put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Snow Hill.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wicomico, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Washington might still be hurting after the 71-51 defeat they got from Wicomico in their previous matchup back in January. Can Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
