Graham-Kapowsin faced Issaquah in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Graham-Kapowsin was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Issaquah. Considering Graham-Kapowsin has won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklyn Pettit was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Pettit was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Izzy Vargas was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Makayla Young was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Graham-Kapowsin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Issaquah, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-5.

As of now, neither Graham-Kapowsin nor Issaquah have any future games scheduled.
