Basketball Recap: Paynesville Comes Up Short

Paynesville lost against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Paynesville Bulldogs received a blow as they fell 73-56 to the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Paynesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Paynesville will host Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Royalton will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Paynesville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, they will head out on the road to challenge Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
