Football Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Falls Short of Smithville in the Playoffs

Cuyahoga Heights and Smithville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cuyahoga Heights had to settle for second. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Smithies. The Red Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Smithies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.

Cuyahoga Heights' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Smithville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Cuyahoga Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smithville, they will square off against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Smithies 13, the Golden Eagles 13.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
