Softball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the West Texas Comanches, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comanches this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-2 back in March.

Highland Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J'Niyah Hearn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15-1. As for West Texas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

While Highland Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
