Calloway County has gone 8-2 against Murray recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lakers will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Calloway County is looking for their season's first victory.

Calloway County's tournament run continued when they took on Caldwell County on Saturday. The Lakers came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-1.

Calloway County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Overbey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Murray had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Mayfield by a score of 9-6 on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Mayla Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Brown, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Calloway County's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Murray, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.

Calloway County took their victory against Murray when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Lakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
