Basketball Recap: Queen City Takes a Loss

Queen City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Hooks Hornets 75-18. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1239th, while the Hornets are ranked 85th).

Queen City's record now sits at 3-6. As for Hooks, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen City will head out to face off against Liberty-Eylau at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hooks, they will face off against Sulphur Springs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur Springs' defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Hooks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
