Basketball Game Preview: Avon Eagles vs. Lakewood Rangers

The Avon Eagles will take on the Lakewood Rangers in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Avon was fully in charge, breezing past Elyria 52-15. That looming 52-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Meanwhile, Lakewood didn't have too much trouble with Buckeye on Saturday as they won 45-31.

Avon's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lakewood, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Avon strolled past Lakewood when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-35. Will Avon repeat their success, or does Lakewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
