Football Recap: Westbury Huskies vs. Austin Mustangs
While Westbury put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Austin. The Huskies claimed a resounding 44-0 victory over the Mustangs. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Huskies just coasted through the last quarter.

Jefferson Rivas Hernandez went supernova, rushing for 138 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while also picking up 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 138 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Josiah McCants was another key rusher, rushing for 117 yards on only five carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Westbury's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Elijah Eche, Jazavier Brown, and Cristian Neal, who each picked up one sack apiece. The win (which was Westbury's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average this season.
