Recap: South Bend vs. Ocosta Wildcats
South Bend's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ocosta. South Bend lost against Ocosta in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-39 score last time.
Ocosta was led to victory by Noah Prigmore and Kayden Turner. Prigmore scored 14 points along with nine assists and six rebounds, while Turner scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Prigmore posted eight or more assists. Matt Wyland was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds.
South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ocosta, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Bend will be home for the holidays to greet Naselle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ocosta won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Toledo at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th. Toledo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ocosta in Washington (Toledo is ranked 113th, while Ocosta is ranked 283rd).
