The Gaels will head to Washington to face a dynasty in its season opener.

Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) at Bellevue (Wash.)

Why it's big:
It's the midway point in top-ranked Bishop Gorman's early-season gauntlet against high-caliber out-of-state opponents. The Gaels (2-0) have extended their winning streak to 26 games with double-digit-margin wins against defending Arizona champ Chandler and reigning Utah titlist Bingham (South Jordan) this season.

Friday is the season opener for Bellevue, which is 8-2 against non-Washington teams the past 11 years. The last time the Wolverines played a No. 1 team was in 2004, when they ended the national-record 151-game winning streak for De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) in very memorable fashion.

Names to watch: Bishop Gorman's top offensive producers this year have been juniors. Running back Biaggio Walsh – grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali – leads Bishop Gorman with 318 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. Five-star receiver Tyjon Lindsey is second on the team with 248 all-purpose yards and two scores.

Although Bellevue is known best for its Wing-T-powered rushing attack, the Wolverines have some real weapons in the passing game. Senior Justus Rogers, rated a three-star prospect as an athlete by 247Sports, returns for his second year as the starting quarterback. His top receiving target will be senior Tyson Penn, a 6-foot-4 three-star prospect who is committed to Oregon State.
