Southwest Prep - North recap October 8, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Episcopal School of Dallas, who defeated 283rd ranked Cistercian, 36-28.

All Saints added to the longest winning streak in Southwest Prep - North this week by beating Oakridge, 49-9. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Saints.

Foster Sawyer threw for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 11-15 with 0 interceptions.

Jack Garda made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Hawks fell to the Eagles. He recorded 1 fumble.

Sawyer put up the best numbers in passing as All Saints beat the Owls. Sawyer's favorite target this week was Kendall Adams, who caught 3 passes for 121 yards.

Aaron Beck's team's Sawyer and Blaze Moorhead led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Sawyer has thrown for 1,809 yards this season, while Moorhead has 31 catches for 600 yards. Dare Odeyingbo from Cistercian leads the league in rushing with 1,141 yards.

Going into this week's contest against Holland Hall, the Saints' Sawyer needs 191 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Episcopal School of Dallas takes on St. Mark's. As it stands, Clayton Sanders' team is in third, while the Lions are in second.

Casady moved up to 57 from 284 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southwest Prep - North. The Cyclones climbed the ranks as a result of losing to St. Mark's 26-7.
