With a playoff win on the line, Danbury rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Thorndale Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Danbury is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Thorndale, their defeat ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 21-4.

Danbury will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
