Balboa has gone 8-2 against Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Buccaneers will host the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Balboa will be strutting in after a victory while Washington will be coming in after a loss.

Balboa took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-14 win over Castlemont. Considering the Buccaneers have won three games by more than 35 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jasiah Jackson had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 56 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Balboa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jackson and Santino Rubalcava. Balboa got some further help from Navi Uhatafe: he picked up 0.5 sacks and made seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Balboa, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Mekai Smith, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Washington played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of Vallejo. The Eagles were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Balboa will have to contain Amari Daniels as he made an impact in Washington's last game. He rushed for 80 yards, and also picked up 68 receiving yards.

Balboa's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.3 points over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Balboa strolled past Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 31-14. Do the Buccaneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
