Woodinville posted their closest victory since March 12th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lake Washington Kangaroos.

Levi Grothen looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Woodinville let Braden Perry and Andrew Hennessy run wild. Perry went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Hennessy went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits Perry has posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory got Woodinville back to even at 6-6. As for Lake Washington, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Woodinville will face off against Newport - Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Washington, they will host Eastlake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The last six games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
