The Magnolia West Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia West is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Magnolia West is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Klein Oak on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Magnolia West was dealt a 67-40 defeat at the hands of Klein Oak. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 812th, while the Panthers are ranked 217th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tomball Memorial took on Tomball on Friday. Tomball Memorial walked away with a 36-29 victory over Tomball.

Tomball Memorial pushed their record up to 23-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Magnolia West, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Magnolia West took a serious blow against Tomball Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 67-33. Can Magnolia West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
