Recap: Crestview Bulldogs vs. Pace Patriots
The Crestview Bulldogs posted their biggest victory since December 6, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Pace 55-33. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-9.
Makhi Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Klauser, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Tylon Lee and Hayden Bowman certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Lee scored 13 points, while Bowman scored eight points along with five rebounds. Lee continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
The victory makes it two in a row for Crestview and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Pace, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will take on Niceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Niceville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Pace, Pace and Gulf Breeze will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Averaging 59.5 so far this season, Gulf Breeze's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Pace better be ready for a challenge.
