Softball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Takes a Loss

Scurry-Rosser came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Maypearl Panthers by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Madison Lumpkin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 20 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.6 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Scurry-Rosser saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alanah Greene, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
