Baseball Recap: Estrella Foothills Wolves vs. ALA - West Foothills Guardians
After flying high against Snowflake on Thursday, Estrella Foothills came back down to earth. The Wolves took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the ALA - West Foothills Guardians on Friday.
Estrella Foothills got a good showing from Hunter Harris, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Harris has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Estrella Foothills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Medina, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Estrella Foothills now has a losing record of 7-8. As for ALA - West Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Coincidentally, Estrella Foothills and ALA - West Foothills will both be playing North Canyon the next time they take the field. The Guardians will head out to face the Rattlers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
