Football Game Preview: Miami Warriors vs. Lefors Pirates

The Miami Warriors will take on the Lefors Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Miami will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Follett, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors claimed a resounding 78-33 win over the Panthers. The Warriors' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Miami's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chance White led the charge by rushing for 178 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Noah Homfeld, who rushed for 132 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lefors, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 10th. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Groom 82-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pirates have posted against the Tigers since September 30, 2016.

Lefors' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Miami, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Miami against Lefors when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-34 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
