Port Charlotte lost to Manatee back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Pirates walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Hurricanes. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Jaylin Pinedo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Jacqueline Kirk was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Alyvia Schubiger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Port Charlotte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.2.

Port Charlotte's record is now 8-14. As for Manatee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

As of now, neither Port Charlotte nor the Hurricanes have any future games scheduled.
