Canyon put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Castaic Coyotes get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won seven in a row.

Jessica Carr was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Brooke Phillips was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Amber Phillips was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Canyon back to even at 7-7. As for Castaic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Canyon will face off against rival Hart at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Castaic is set to take on their familiar foe Saugus at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
