Northgate has gone 6-1 against Concord recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Northgate Broncos will square off against the Concord Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northgate took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They skirted past Acalanes 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Broncos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Dons are ranked 80th).

Aidan Cairns and Alesandro Guarnaccia scored both of Northgate's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, Concord kept a clean sheet against Alhambra on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs.

Concord now has a winning record of 5-4-3. As for Northgate, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4-1.

Northgate beat Concord 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northgate since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
