Volleyball Recap: St. Dominic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

St. Dominic had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chaminade Red Devils. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

St. Dominic's got stronger as the match went on, holding Chaminade to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-15.

St. Dominic found their leader in sophomore James Campbell, who had 14 digs and two assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Campbell.

St. Dominic's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Chaminade, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

St. Dominic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Howell on the 25th. As for Chaminade, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ladue Horton Watkins on the 28th.
