Volleyball Game Preview: Rancho Verde Mustangs vs. Ramona Rams

The Rancho Verde Mustangs will head out to challenge the Ramona Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ramona took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rancho Verde, who comes in off a win.

Rancho Verde not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Hemet.

Rancho Verde never let Hemet on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Ramona didn't have quite enough to beat King on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ramona actually scored more points across those five sets (105-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 14-25, 22-25, 17-15.

Rancho Verde pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Ramona, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Rancho Verde skirted past Ramona 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rancho Verde since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
