Volleyball Game Preview: Grace Davis Spartans vs. Ceres Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Grace Davis Spartans will take on the Ceres Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grace Davis will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Beyer, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Patriots on Monday.

Grace Davis wouldn't go down easily and took Beyer into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 25-9, 16-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ceres, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Pacheco 3-0 on Monday.

Ceres was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.

Grace Davis' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. As for Ceres, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Grace Davis beat Ceres 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
