Basketball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hobbton Wildcats. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Amir Tate was a one-man wrecking crew For Hobbton. as he went 10-for-20 on his way to 28 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 28 points gave Tate a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Richard Simpson, who posted 14 points and six boards.

Midway's record now sits at 0-4. As for Hobbton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Midway had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
