Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Road Victories for Pembroke Hill

Summit Christian Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Pembroke Hill proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

The team relied heavily on Eli Sitzer, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Jack Passan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pembroke Hill pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Summit Christian Academy, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-3.

Pembroke Hill will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
