Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cooper Brouchoud and Addie Dewey Lead Mishicot to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kewaunee, Mishicot was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters. The Indians not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Mishicot never let Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-9.

Mishicot was led to victory by Addie Dewey and Cooper Brouchoud. Dewey had nine digs, while Brouchoud had 22 digs and one assist. Brouchoud has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Mishicot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's loss came despite strong showings from Lydia Weber and Paige Ganga. Weber had 14 digs, while Ganga had ten digs and five kills.

The victory snapped Mishicot's losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 8-19 record. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Mishicot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Sheboygan Christian on the 11th. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ozaukee on the 11th.
