Basketball Recap: Fox Chapel Takes a Loss

Fox Chapel fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Butler on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Butler Golden Tornado. The Foxes have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Despite the loss, Fox Chapel still got an impressive performance from John Rehak, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and six boards. That was a full 34.9% of Fox Chapel's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Asher White, who earned six points and four steals.

Fox Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Butler, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Coming up, Fox Chapel will face off against Avonworth at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
