Southmoreland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Mt. Pleasant Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 14-0. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Scotties have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Cam Lee, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Southmoreland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Averyon Darnell and Ty Whoric.

Southmoreland's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Southmoreland has already played their next game, a 42-0 defeat against Elizabeth Forward on the 17th. As for Mt. Pleasant, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-13 loss against Derry on the 17th.
