Softball Recap: Spring Hill Falls Short of Canton in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spring Hill can now relate to. They lost 9-2 to the Canton Eagles on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2017.

Spring Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khloe Saxon, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Spring Hill has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14-1 record this season. As for Canton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-6-2.

While Spring Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
