Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Trinity Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors as they made off with a 54-28 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyleigh Purtle out in front who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Dougan, who earned 19 points.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Christian Ministries Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gospel Light Christian the next time they take the court. Christian Ministries Academy will host Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Trinity Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th.
