League recap: Wright throws longest pass in league this season for Yazoo City

Fans got a thrill when Darius Wright and Desi Scott connected against Humphreys County. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in 4A Region 3 this season.

Amanda Elzy moved up to 203 from 234 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Leflore County 24-8.

Yazoo City's dynamic duo of Wright and Scott proved tough for the Cowboys to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wright threw for 296 yards and 4 touchdowns and Scott had 126 yards receiving. Kelvin Rembert helped Yazoo City's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 104 yards.

The Indians' dynamic duo of Wright and Scott proved to be unstoppable against Humphreys County, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Scott was the best receiver in the league this week as Yazoo City topped the Cowboys.

Wright put up the best numbers in passing as Tony Woolfolk's team defeated Humphreys County.

Ladarius Galloway was the most successful running back in 4A Region 3 this week. He ran for 192 yards on 24 carries as Gentry beat the Cowboys. Kenyon Snipes also contributed to the rushing game with 28 yards on the ground.

He went 15-29 with 1 interceptions.

Yazoo City's Wright and Scott have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wright has thrown for 422 yards this season, while Scott, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 5 catches for 153 yards. The Rams' Galloway leads the league in rushing yards with 437.

Yazoo County fell to Germantown 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
