Softball Recap: Marysville Getchell vs. Stanwood Spartans

Marysville Getchell had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-10 to make it six. They fell 11-6 to the Stanwood Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Stanwood this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on April 2nd.

Elle Glover was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Glover was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lilyana Balgos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
