Sixteen California natives have been drafted over the past decade by one of the NFL's most storied franchises.

Over the last 10 seasons, the Packers have selected 16 native Californians, led by first-round picks Datone Jones of
Compton (Calif.) and Clay Matthews III of
Agoura (Calif.). Jones, a linebacker, was the 26th pick in 2013, and Matthews, another linebacker, was the 26th pick of the 2009 draft.
* Over the same time, the Packers have selected 11 players from Florida, including first-rounders Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who attended
Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.), and Damarious Randall, who attended
Pensacola (Fla.).
* Other states with native sons to be drafted by the Packers since 2006: Texas (nine), Ohio (eight) and New Jersey (four).
* Only one player who played high school football in Wisconsin — Jared Abbrederis of
Wautoma/Faith Christian (Wautoma, Wis.) — has been drafted by the Packers. He was picked in the fifth round in 2014.
* Native Ohioan, linebacker A.J. Hawk of
Centerville (Ohio), is the highest pick selected by the Packers, at No. 5 in 2006. The next-highest selection during that time was B.J. Raji of
Westwood (Washington Township, N.J.). He was the ninth pick in 2009.
