Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Vivi Carcamo and Kendall Rogers Lead Roxboro Community to Victory + How To Watch

Roxboro Community won the last time they faced Franklin Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

While Roxboro Community won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 26-24.

Roxboro Community was led to victory by Kendall Rogers and Vivi Carcamo. Rogers had 11 digs and four assists, while Carcamo had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Carcamo has posted over her last four matchups. Jamirra Robinson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Roxboro Community was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Academy only served nine.

Despite the defeat, Franklin Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jillian Hall had 23 digs and two assists. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Hall.

Roxboro Community's record now sits at 15-4. As for Franklin Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Roxboro Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Voyager Academy on the 6th. As for Franklin Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Triangle Math & Science on the 3rd.
