Basketball Recap: Dunbar Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Diamond Hill-Jarvis last Tuesday, Dunbar came back down to earth. The Dunbar Wildcats took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Raiders on Thursday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in February of 2018.

Dunbar's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-12. As for Southwest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Dunbar and Southwest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Dunbar (ranked 658th) will meet Western Hills (ranked 1321st) at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Southwest will take on Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 12:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025 up 712 places (336 vs. 1048).
